PCC overview - Community, Collaboration, Commitment
Community, Collaboration, Commitment

Powell Community Club

The Powell Community Club was founded in October 2002.  Driven by the needs of a rapidly growing community, the Powell Community Club was organized to provide the Powell Community a service organization totally focused on working to better the community.  Powell is sandwiched between two major roads, I-75 and Clinton Highway. The area is rapidly becoming commercialized. The resulting growth is both a blessing and an issue. Powell welcomes the growth. Yet, without a solid core, the Powell Community could easily become just another set of homes and lose the identity that has make Powell a unique place to live and raise a family. The Powell Community Club works to help the community recognize and appreciate that uniqueness while inviting growth and newcomers.

All funds to the Powell Community Club go directly into projects to better the Powell Community. The motto of the Powell Community Club is "Service to Community". The Vision is "To help make Powell a viable, safe and friendly place to live." The Powell Community Club is about bringing people together to work for the community. The Powell Community Club works with other service organizations to increase our ability to serve the Community. Working with other community organizations like the Powell Business and Professional Association and the Powell Lion's Club, the Powell Community Club creates collaboration and commitment that increases the ability of the community to succeed.

Membership dues in the Powell Community Club are $50 per year or $25 a year and one day of service to the Powell Community or $0 and two days of service to the Powell Community. PCC: Welcome to Powell signs - Welcome to Powell sign waits at Sign America for its Oct. 27th
Welcome to Powell sign waits at Sign America for its Oct. 27th "planting".

Powell's new Welcome to Powell signs are ready!!

One of two Welcome to Powell signs will be planted on October 27th in front of Chick-Fil-A on Clinton Highway.  Our thanks to Chick-Fil-A for allowing us to use their property to welcome visitors to Powell.

The signs are a collaborative effort of the Powell Business and Professional Association, Powell Lion's Club and Powell Community Club.  Each club's logos are displayed on the sign as well as Powell's web site address.  Look for the second sign to be "planted" on Emory Road after TDOT has completed road construction.
