Powell Business
The Powell business community offers a full range of products and services. With "Old-Town" Powell as the center and expanding to Northwest Crossing, residents and visitors can find a wide range of "homegrown" and nationally known establishments. From the new Super Walmart and Target to Powell's own Vaughn's Drugstore, there's no need to go anywhere else to shop, visit the Doctor or locate a realtor.
Businesses in Powell are actively involved in the community donating both time and merchandize to help the community. The most recent 4th of July celebration is an excellent example. The Powell Community Club, Lion's Club and The Beaver Creek Watershed Association hosted a free cook-out for the community. The tents, hot dogs, buns, watermelon, garbage cans and pick-up, water, and soft drinks were all donated by local and national organizations.
Powell also supports a strong business organization, Powell Business and Professional Association. The PBPA's mission is to promote and support Powell business. PBPA holds it's monthly meetings at Brickyard Blues Restaurant on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 noon.
